The particular types of cables are specified in IEC 60227-3, 60227-4, etc. The code designations of these types of cables are given in Annex A.The test methods specified in Parts 1.3,4, etc. are given in IEC 60227-2, 60332-1-2 and in the relevant parts of IEC 60811.

2 DMMS IEC 60227-3 : 1997 Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables of rated voltage up to and including 450/750V- Part 3: Non – sheathed cables for fixed wiring This part of IEC 227 details the particular specifications for polyvinyl chloride insulated single – core non-sheathed cables for fixed wiring of rated voltages up to and including 450/750 V.
All cables shall comply with the appropriate requirements given in IEC 227-1 and the individual types of cables shall each comply with the particular requirements of this part.

3 DMMS IEC 60227-4 : 1997 Polyvinyl chloride insulated cable of rate voltage up to and including 450/750V-Part 4 : Sheathed cables for fixed wiring This part of IEC 227 details the particular specifications for light polyvinyl chloride sheathed cables of rated voltage of 300/500 V.
Each cable shall comply with the appropriate requirements given in IEC 227-1 and the particular requirements of this part.

5 DMMS IEC 60227- 6 : 2001 Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables of rated voltage up to and including 450/750V – Part – 6 Lift cables and cables for flexible connections This part of IEC 60227 details the particular specifications for both circular and flat lift cables and cables for flexible connections of rated voltages up to and including 450/750V.
Each cable complies with the appropriate requirements given in IEC 60227-0 and with the particular requirements of this part IEC 60227.

6 DMMS IEC 60228 : 2004 Conductors of insulated cables This International Standard specifies the nominal cross-sectional areas in the range 0,5 mm2 to 2500 mm2, for conductors in electric power cables and cords of a wide range of types. Requirements for numbers and sizes of wires and resistance values are also included. These conductors include solid and stranded copper, aluminum and aluminum alloy conductors in cables for fixed installations and flexible copper conductors.
The standard does not apply to conductors for telecommunication purposes.
The applicability of this standard to a particular type of cable is as specified in the standard for the type of cable.
Unless indicated to the contrary in a particular clause, this standard related to the conductors in the finished cable and not to the conductor as made or supplied for inclusion into a cable.
Informative annexes are included giving supplementary information covering temperature correction factors for resistance measurement (Annex B) and dimensional limits of circular conductors (Annex C)

26 DMMS IEC 60968 : 2015 Self-ballasted fluorescent lamps for general lighting services – Safety requirements This International Standard specifies the safety and interchangeability requirements together with the test methods and conditions required to show compliance of tubular fluorescent lamps with integrated means for controlling starting and stable operation ( self- ballasted fluorescent lamps)
These lamps are intended for domestic and similar general lighting purposes having a rated voltage of 50 V to 250 V having a rated frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz and having IEC 60061-1 compliant caps.
For a cap –holder system not specifically mentioned in this standard the relevant information on safety rated tests provided by the manufacturer will apply.
The requirements of this standard relate only to type testing.
Recommendations for whole product resting or batch testing are given in Annex A.
This part of the standard covers photobiological safety according to IEC 62471 and IEC TR 62471-2 Blue light and infrared hazards are below the level which requires marking.

For the purposes of declaration, the tests defined in this part of IEC 62552 are considered to be type tests to assess the fundamental design and operation of a refrigerating appliance. This part of IEC 62552 does not define requirements for production sampling of conformity assessment of certification.
This part of IEC 62552 does not define a regime for verification testing as this varies by region and country. When verification of the performance of a refrigerating appliance of a given type in relation to this standard is necessary; it is preferable, wherever preticable that all the tests specified be applied to a single unit. This test can also be made individually for the study of a particular characteristic.

This part of IEC 62552 describes the methods for the determination of performance requirements. Although there is some commonality in the set-ups for different tests (and so it may be an advantage to apply them all to one sample) these are separate tests to evaluate specific characteristics of the sample being tested. This part of IEC 62552 does not specify a procedure to generalize the results from sample test results to a prediction of the characteristics of the whole population from which that sample was selected.

Products made with thread tolerances in accordance with this part of ISO 965 may show failure at lower ultimate tensile loads than those specified in ISO 898-1 due to reduction of the stress area. External screw threads with thread tolerances according to this part of ISO 965 must not be mated with internal screw threads with thread tolerances according to ISO 965-5 because such combinations will create severe risk for thread stripping. NOTE If the tolerance class 6az is not specified the external screw threads are to mate with internal screw threads with tolerance position 6AZ if the products are centrifuged and with hot-dip galvanized internal screw threads with tolerance position 6AX if the products are not centrifuged.

The user is cautioned that it is not recommended to use the ideal gas formula presented in 6.3 when the relieving temperature is greater than 90 % of the thermodynamic critical temperature and the relieving pressure is greater than 50 % of the thermodynamic critical pressure. The procedures for sampling water apply to
• — raw water;
• — make-up water;
• — boiler feed water;
• — condensate;
• — boiler water;
• — cooling water.
The procedures for sampling steam cover both saturated and superheated steam.
This part of ISO 5667 does not apply to the sampling of water and steam in nuclear power plants.
